The NAMM Show (National Association
of Music Merchants) happens twice a year. All the biggest names in music retail
get together to show off their new product lines for the coming year. Some of
the biggest names in music come out to get mingle with the fans, get lots of
free stuff, check out the freaks, and sign autographs. This past saturday (1.20.2001)
I went to my first NAMM show. I saw among others: Alphonso Johnson, Bill "Buddha"
Dickson, Boilerman, Dweezil Zappa, Elvira, Fred Gretsch, Keanu Reeves, Mick
Mars, Mimi Miyagi, Misfit, KORN-fieldy, head & munky, Verdine White, Doug
Wimbish, Sheldon Reynolds, Phil "Harmonic" Cheval, FISHBONE: Spacey
T, Angelo & Norwood, Chuck Treece, Tony Levin, Emmett Chapman, Leland Sklar,
Mike Velasquez, and Peter Frampton. We missed Spinal Tap, but we didn't miss
Limp Biskit...
